Planning Commission (3-year term)
The Planning Commission is responsible for developing and adopting a Master Plan for the City of Menominee and has the following main functions:
  1. To conduct public hearings and make recommendations to the City Council regarding map ("rezonings") and text amendments; Special Use Permits, and planned Development requests; and
  2. To review and approve or deny sign requests; and
  3. Are involved in the creation and implementation of the adopted Master Plan; and
  4. Make recommendations to the City Council regarding land use development in the city.
The Planning Commission meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 4:15pm in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
The Planning Commission is made up of nine members who are appointed by the Mayor with approval from the City Council. Members are residents of the city and serve a three-year term.
