Downtown Development Authority (4 year term)
The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is responsible for promoting the economic growth of the city's downtown business district by;
- Recommending changes to established boundaries;
- Making recommendations of and for projects associated with the Downtown Master Plan;
- Overseeing the general maintenance along with the seasonal plantings and decorations within the DDA boundaries;
- Identify and pursue potential grant opportunities for economic revitalization projects; and
- Identify TIF initiative.
The DDA is made up of the Mayor and twelve members appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. Members serve a four-year term. A majority of the members must be associated with the DDA
boundaries as a property owner, business owner, or employee, and at least one member must reside within the DDA. The remaining members must be residents of the City.
