Housing Commission (5-year term)
Menominee Housing Commission is funded by HUD and offers low income housing options for families, couples, and individuals through either our Public Housing or Housing Choice Voucher Programs.
MHC responsibilities are:
- To oversee the operation of Bridge View Apartments; and
- To provide a safe and secure quality of life for our elderly and handicapped residents in the most efficient and cost-effective manner; and
- To establish rental fees; and
- To mirror the Department of Housing and Urban Development's mission to promote adequate and affordable housing, economic opportunity, and a suitable living environment free from discrimination.
The Housing Commission is made up of five members who are appointed by the Mayor with approval of the City Council. One member must be a resident of Bridge View Apartments.
